These annual awards run by JUVE, Germany’s leading legal industry publication assess firms on their client work, market position and a review of client and industry opinion.
The insurance law firm of the year title was awarded to Clyde & Co on the basis of the quality of the client work carried out, levels of industry expertise and close co-operation with the firm’s international network on work spanning insurance lines and disciplines. The speed at which the German practice has established itself in the market since it launched was also cited.
Partner Henning Schaloske comments: ‘I am delighted to have won this most prestigious of awards in the German market. It is a huge achievement for the team and recognition for our market leading work and of our unique brand in the insurance market’.
Senior Partner Simon Konsta adds: ‘Winning this award just two years after establishing ourselves in Germany is a fine achievement and is testament to the hard work of our team on the ground and the way they’ve seamlessly integrated into our international network to offer clients the levels of service they require across borders. We’re excited about the future of the German market and this is great recognition for the start we’ve made there’.
In addition to the award, partners Henning Schaloske, Tanja Schramm and counsel Daniel Kassing were all individually recommended as leading insurance lawyers. In JUVE‘s only best lawyers category for insurance, Henning received special recognition as a leading expert for D&O liability and coverage. The firm was recognised and ranked as a leading practice for insurance litigation, corporate insurance advice and for support in devising new and innovative insurance products.
Clyde & Co first launched in Germany with the opening of its Dusseldorf office in July 2016, which followed the hire of a leading insurance team from Noerr led by partners Henning Schaloske and Tanja Schramm.
The team provides services to our German and international clients across the country, in the insurance industry and the firm’s other core sectors of energy, transport, trade & commodities and infrastructure.
